Rhythm & Wine
Catholic Social Services will be hosting a “Rhythm & Wine” fundraising event at Bartolai Winery. This will be the only fundraising event presented by the agency this year and we invite all to attend.  The goal of the event is not only to raise funds for CSS, but also awareness of the services that the agency provides to the community.
There are three ways to get involved:
1)    Simply purchase a ticket or two – priced at only $50 each – and join us for a fun evening of wine tasting, food and music.
2)    If you can’t join us, please help us sell tickets to friends or business associates.
3)    If you own a business, consider taking out an ad in the “Rhythm & Wine” sponsorship booklet.
For more information about “Rhythm & Wine,” including how to purchase tickets or become an event sponsor and  the different sposor levels, call (570) 824-8756, ex. 398. Also, you can visit http://cssdioceseofscranton.org/content/rhythm-wine-fundraiser

A once-a-month gathering to listen to four romance authors read aloud from their novels. In the days of old, authors like Jane Austen gathered in salons to hear presentations. The originators of these salons started in 2009 in Manhattan and we hope that readers will welcome this opportunity to meet some of their favorite romance authors locally. Join us for an evening of reading and wine!

Please bring a gently used romance novel or $5.00 to benefit Blue Chip Farm Animal Refuge.

Friday, December 5th 7:00pm - 10:00pm

The Music Room

The Music Room is an acoustic trio that concentrates on songs with intricate harmony and instrumentation. Founding members of “The Neighborhood,” Barry Rogers and Marty Graw, along with former band member Steve Corcoran, have chosen a repertoire that includes songs from the 1960s to the present day.

Saturday, December 6th 7:00pm - 10:00pm

The Sperazza Band
Jenny and Eric Sperazza, a.k.a. the musical duo JENERIC, team up with cousin, Mike Sperazza, formely of "The Pee Pee's," and also playing with "The Fabulous Jimmy Band," to form "The Sperazza Band.".. Jenny, a middle school teacher by day, plays the drums and sings lead and back-up vocals in the band. Her husband, Eric, a music teacher, plays bass/keys, and also sings lead and back-up vocals. Mike Sperazza, a printing company supervisor, plays guitar and sings lead and back-up vocals. We have plently of oldies from the 50's and 60's, rock songs from the 70's, dancing party songs from the 80's, and current songs from the 90's and today.
